How Time Flies, Will is Two!
It's hard to believe it, but Will turned two years old on the 9th. We celebrated not with a big bash like last year, but with a family trip to the San Antonio Zoo (pics to come soon). We had a great time -- the cool weather kept most people away and we shared the whole zoo with the animals and about 50 humans. We hit all of the target animals on Will's list: elephants, giraffes, and bears. Despite the disruption to naptime, there was only one incident of tears when Will had a misstep at the cheetah display and bopped his mouth on a concrete ledge. He was back in business a few minutes later and ready for more.
We finished up the day with a ride on the train, again enjoying the lack of crowds, and getting to talk with the engineer and see the engine up close.
Some dinner and we were back at home for presents and cake. It was a happy birthday for all.
Last year I put together a bunch of pictures from the year and slammed them all together into a quick slideshow. It was fun to see Will grow up so rapidly. This year, the changes aren't quite as dramatic, but his catalog of expressions has increased greatly. It was definitely fun to sort through the photos and put this together. I hope you enjoy it too.
