20-Week Ultrasound

"The anatomy is reassuring."

Apparently that's as good as it gets from a radiologist, but we were happy to hear it. All the parts look good and attach where they are supposed to go. The heart is pumping, the head looks good, there is a 29mm femur, and they project a due date of 4-16-06. The alien-looking Newbie looks pretty comfortable, as you can see in the yawning photo.

We'll do more with this later, times are busy (the house goes on the market this week!), so this link is just the raw ultrasound video (no audio).

October ends, the bats come out

Well, it's now November so it's definitely time to post some new pics.

-->End of November pics

Yesterday was Halloween and Will's debut as a bat. It was a great costume idea for him (Mary's idea) because he knows what bats are, can say the word "bat" and, it turns out, he makes a pretty darn cute bat.

With wings made from a broken umbrella sewn to a black turtleneck, and some bat ears made from some old black sweats, he fluttered and flapped all over his school party in the afternoon and the fall Halloween festival we went to upon the suggestion of Emily.

The festival was perfect because everything there was for kids ages 3-7-ish. So Will was a little small for some things, but found others (like the little train) to be great. Plus, they had music playing, so he was dancing his way around most of the night.

In other news, we're closer to putting the house on the market in search of more space for the growing family. Lots of work. Thanks to John and Katie for a day of hard labor last weekend. Much appreciated. Still many little things to do, then hopefully not a long drawn-out period of trying to live in a model home. With an almost two year-old.
